Helping Communities Vote

  • The League and a coalition of organizations launched “We Are America, And We Vote,” an effort focusing on building enthusiasm among voters through joyful determination, resilience, and realizing our collective power as voters.

Happening at the League

  • Some of the country’s most recognizable brands, including Ben & Jerry’s, Lush Cosmetics, and many others, are joining forces with the League to help voters prepare for the 2026 midterm elections.
  • The League responded to whistleblower allegations involving US Citizenship and Immigration Services’ “Unlawful Voter Initiative,” calling the reported actions a “five-alarm fire for American democracy.”
  • Throughout October, the League will drive voter education and engagement across the country, urging Americans to check their registration, understand what’s on their ballot, make a voting plan, and vote early where available.

The League in the News

League CEO Celina Stewart discussed with Reuters the impact the attacks on mail voting have had at the national, state, and local levels and the motivation it has given people to make concrete plans to vote.

On September 15, Celina joined All Rise News to discuss the League’s mail-voting litigation, protecting voter access, election authority, and reassuring voters ahead of the 2026 midterms.

Celina also talked with The Associated Press about the US Supreme Court rejecting President Trump’s bid to restrict mail ballots for the midterm elections.

Additionally, the site has raised privacy concerns about how personal information provided by voters may be collected and used. Voters can turn to VOTE411.org, the League’s trusted, nonpartisan resource for election information, and their state and local election officials to verify registration requirements, deadlines, and other official voting information.
