Biography
Born and raised in Brooklyn. Trained and worked in the ‘70s as one of the first female recording engineers to work ina major NYC studio. Broke my back for rock n roll and disco. Fractured skull on glass ceiling. Got married, had two kids.
I joined the LWV in 1992 in Hershey PA, where I moved with hubby and kids for his job. Best thing I’ve ever done. Wound up as LL president, then joined PA State Board, eventually serving for 6 years as LWVPA Pres. Moved to Worcester, MA in 2010 and joined LL there. I divorced my husband and moved to Montclair in 2013. I became president in 2019 because nobody else would. With the copious supply of talent and commitment of the Montclair Area members, the job is easy. In fact, it’s an honor.
I have 2 kids, 2 cats, and an older sister with Parkinson’s. Both my kids live overseas. My daughter is a travel writer based in Tokyo. My son is an automotive technician for Ferrari in London. No grandkids yet, but I remain hopeful.
